How do nursing shells work?
A simple and natural solution to help you breastfeed with gentleness and peace of mind.
If you are here, it means you want to breastfeed your baby and are preparing for this unique adventure.
Breastfeeding is natural, but the first few days can make nipples sensitive, irritated, or sore. These discomforts are common and can discourage some mothers.
Nursing shells were created to protect nipples and help mothers continue breastfeeding more serenely.
With mothers for over 20 years, our mission is simple:
to help mothers breastfeed with confidence.
How do the shells work?
During breastfeeding, the nipple skin becomes very sensitive.
Friction from bras or clothing can irritate the skin and cause cracks.
The shells create a small natural protection around the nipple.
Worn in the bra between feedings, they:
- prevent friction
- maintain a drop of your milk in contact with the skin
- keep the skin naturally hydrated
- Breast milk then helps the skin remain supple and heal.
With the shells:
- nipples are protected
- skin remains hydrated
- cracks can heal better
-
breastfeeding becomes more comfortable
In 3 steps
1 - After feeding
Place a small drop of your milk in each shell.
2 - Place them in your bra
The nipple remains protected and no longer touches the fabric.
3 - Before the next feeding
Simply remove them and rinse with water.
When to use them?
As soon as you feel the first sensitivities, redness, or tightness.
You can wear them for several hours during the day.
Is it safe for my baby?
Yes.
The shells are removed before feeding and do not come into contact with the baby.
In case of significant or persistent pain, contact a midwife or lactation consultant.
